Ensuring a bright future
Our Bedson Campus has served our students and families since 1986. But it's time to show the building some extra love.
The Foundations for a Lifetime Campaign will complete two important projects at our St. James school:
Build a new entrance designed for accessibility and student visibility.
Upgrades to our HVAC system, ensuring a comfortable enrivonment for students year-round.
The Katherine Friesen Campus has seen multiple expansions since its acquisition in 1996. We recently completed phase one of our capital campaign, which included:
Expanding our classes to include grades 7 and 8.
A large addition featuring a high-school-sized gymnasium, student commons, and kitchen.
Renovating the old gym to include a dedicated music room and multi-purpose room.
Address urgent safety, accessibility, and HVAC needs at our Bedson Campus.
Funding the investment we made at our Katherine Friesen Campus.
Eliminate the debt that impacts our ability to serve students and families.
ACE and the Bedson Parent Association is urging families at our Bedson Campus to help raise $120,000 ($650 per student) in the next few months to provide Air Conditioning for Everyone at our Bedson Campus.
These units will replace the existing 55-year-old HVAC system in 11 classrooms and provide more energy-efficient air conditioning and heat throughout the year.
Please donate today. All donations made to the Cool Classrooms Campaign go directly to this project. Installation will begin this summer as funds are raised based on priority needs in the school.

The new space, located on the south side of the building, is outfitted with 9 planted boxes for classrooms to plant, study, and harvest various flowers, vegetables, and shrubs. An outdoor classroom has been incorporated into the design, with a seating area and four-season chalkboard for outdoor learning year-round.
Thanks to a generous donation by the Friesen Family Foundation, the newly built garden will be a school and community space for learning, growing, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
A gift to the Foundations for the Lifetime capital campaign is an opportunity to help shape and elevate the learning environment for WMS students.
